Marinate beef
Toss beef with cornstarch and soy sauce. Let sit 10–15 minutes. -
Sear the beef
Heat oil in a hot skillet or wok.
Sear beef quickly (1–2 minutes) until just browned. Remove and set aside. -
Stir-fry veggies
In the same pan, add onions and peppers.
Cook 2–3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp. -
Make it sizzle
Stir in garlic and ginger (30 seconds).
Add sauce and bring to a simmer until thickened. -
Combine
Return beef to the pan and toss everything together for 1–2 minutes. -
Serve hot
Best served sizzling over steamed rice or noodles.
