Prepare the Fish
Pat fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. -
Sear the Fillets

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Add fish fillets and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden and cooked through.

Remove fish and set aside.

Make the Lemon Butter Sauce
-
In the same pan, lower the heat.
-
Add butter and let it melt.

Stir in minced garlic and cook 20–30 seconds until fragrant.

Add lemon juice (and zest if using).

Let the sauce simmer for 1 minute.

Combine
Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the fish fillets. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
Serving Ideas

Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
