🍩 Puffy Twist Donuts (Korean “Kkwabaegi”-Style)
Ingredients
For the dough:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
-
2 ÂĽ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)

3 tbsp sugar
-
½ tsp salt
-
1 egg
-
Âľ cup warm milk
-
3 tbsp melted butter (or oil)
For coating:
-
½ cup sugar
-
1–2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
1. Make the Dough
-
In a bowl, mix warm milk + sugar + yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Add the egg and melted butter and mix.

Add flour + salt and stir until a dough forms.

Knead for 5–8 minutes (until smooth and stretchy).

Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
2. Shape the Twists

Punch the dough down gently.

Divide into 10–12 pieces.
-
Roll each piece into a rope (about 8–10 inches long).
-
Hold both ends and twist 5–6 times.
-
Press the ends together to seal.

Let rest for 10–15 minutes so they get puffy again.
